BREAKING: APC's candidate for Kogi gubernatorial election Prince Audu is reportedly dead

The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate
in Kogi state, Abubakar Audu, is reportedly dead.
According to Sahara Reporters, Audu passed away of
undisclosed medical reason just after the  Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced
the results of the voting and had declared the election
inconclusive.

The information is yet to be officially confirmed and
more details are to be provided.
Naij.com  correspondents are on their way to Audu’s
house in Lokoja to confirm the authenticity of the report.
He was previously said to have left his country home in
Ofu LG for Lokoja, the state capital. The phones of all
his aides are switched off.

It should be noted that according to the results as
counted by the INEC in the evening of November 22, the
APC polled 240,867, while the PDP received 199,514.
However, the election was declared inconclusive as the
leading margin was below the number of registered
voters in cancelled polling units.
